Does Whirlpool make any LG appliances?
The answer is no. Whirlpool does not manufacture LG appliances. LG and Whirlpool are two separate companies and do not have any relations besides manufacturing some familiar products.

After 37 years, on 28 February 1995, GoldStar collaborated with two South Korean companies, including LS Cable and Lucky Chemical. Thus, the company changed its name to Lucky-GoldStar.

Is LG the same as Whirlpool appliances?
The appliance category of LG and Whirlpool are the same. Both brands manufacture appliances such as air conditioners, dishwashers, washing machines, water purifiers, toasters, etc.
However, LG and Whirlpool are two different appliance brands. Therefore, the design of the products and quality are different. Both companies make their appliances more futuristic looking. However, aesthetics is not everything for a product.
The most significant parts of a product are pricing, longevity, and serviceability. In terms of pricing, most LG appliances come at a higher price compared to Whirlpool. Therefore, Whirlpool makes a cheaper option for you.
Then comes the longevity part. Both companies manufacture promising appliances. The quality of both Whirlpool and LG appliances is better than most of the brands in the market. Therefore, the longevity and serviceability of the two brands’ products are assured.
Then again, electronic devices are not ideal. You cannot say that an electronic device will last two or three years. It vastly depends on the user. If the user is rough, the appliance will not sustain much.
